Despite the horrific accident at Daytona yesterday, the Daytona 500 will kick off today, February 24th, at 1:00 pm EST.
Leading the front five when the 2013 Daytona 500 kicks off is Danica Patrick in the pole, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Greg Biffle. Patrick took the top qualifying spot with a time of 45.817 at an average qualifying speed of 196.4 mph.
